Srinagar, April 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Wahdat Jammu and Kashmir condemning the recent killings of innocent people in Kupwara, has said that the presence of Indian troops and draconian laws are the root cause of human rights violations in the territory.
In a statement issued in Srinagar also praised the statement of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Kargil, regarding Kupwara killings and said that the statement proved that the people of Kargil were fully backing the liberation movement. He said that Kashmir dispute was the burning issue and permanent peace in South Asia was impossible without settlement of the dispute. He asked India to give up its unrealistic approach towards Kashmir dispute and instead should come forward to settle it through talks.
He said that the people of Kashmir could not be intimidated through the use of brute force on peaceful protesters and vowed that they would continue their liberation movement till complete success. The Chairman TWJK praised the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for extending support to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
