Srinagar, April 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, APHC leaders, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and Hakeem Abdul Rashid, today, visited the Martyrs Graveyard at Eidgah in Srinagar, to pay tributes to martyr S. Hamid on his martyrdom anniversary. The APHC leaders, while addressing a prayer meeting on the occasion, stated that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would bring positive results. He said that the people of Kashmir had been giving sacrifices since 1947 and would take the liberation movement to its logical conclusion at all costs.
The leaders said despite all odds the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till complete success. The leaders were accompanied by Islamic Political Party workers Sajad Lone, Parvaiz Wani and Muzaffar Ahmad Butt. The Jammu and Kashmir National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan in his statement in Srinagar paid rich and glowing tributes to S Hamid on his martyrdom anniversary.
Remembering the great politician and intellectual, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that S Hamid was an icon of the freedom struggle and among the founders of Hurriyet Conference. He said that sacrifices of Kashmiri martyr would not go waste. A delegation of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) also participated in the prayer meeting. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), in a statement issued in Srinagar also paid tributes to S Hamid, saying, “Hameed was a great son of soil and his sacrifices will always be remembered.”
