Islamabad, July 25 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has taken strict notice on information regarding carelessness of KMC vehicles, out of order machinery purchased for cleanliness purpose and issuance of petrol and diesel despite of turning of vehicles into scrape and directed to carry out complete investigation immediately and under this purpose a three-member inquiry committee comprising of Director General Technical Services Niaz Soomro, Sr. Director Municipal Services Masood Alam and Chief Engineer Electrical and Mechanical Shafi Chachar was formed and the committee was directed to submit its report by 1st August.
KMC Administrator also took strict notice of news published about CNG Bus Project and CNG buses having millions of worth which were out of order on bus terminal and directed relevant department to submit its report on immediate basis.
He said that CNG Bus Project was very important for citizens. He has also taken notice of news published about Vehicle Department and directed that transparent investigation should proceed in this matter and specially issuance of petrol and diesel on the name of out of order vehicles should be inquired completely so that negligence of concerned department and officers could be revealed and its responsible be identified moreover this could be curbed next time and organization could be prevented from such financial loss.
He directed to maintain complete record of all types of machinery and vehicles purchased by KMC and carry out repairing works in case of they got out of order as KMC has got these vehicles and machinery for providing citizens with municipal facilities and it was quite necessary to put them in proper order.
He said it was responsibility of relevant department to keep all machinery and vehicles in fine condition and their safety was also a part of their responsibility therefore no negligence will be endured in this regard and strict disciplinary action will be taken against the officers involved in such activities.
KMC Administrator said that arrangements for safety and proper care should be made of the vehicles which were standby on various locations and stop issuance of petrol and diesel for vehicles which were out of order. He directed investigation committee to inquire and investigate the matter properly as it was very sensitive so that negligence of officers could be identified and disciplinary action be taken against them as soon as possible.
