Three Indian soldiers killed, 4 injured in attacks in IOK

Srinagar, November 29, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, three Indian soldiers including an officer were killed and four others were injured in two separate attacks in Jammu region, this morning.

Some unknown gunmen attacked the 166 field regiment camp in Nagrota area of Jammu, killing three Indian soldiers including a junior commissioned officer and injuring three others. Heavy exchange of fire between the attackers and Indian forces’ personnel was going on when reports last came in.

The field regiment camp is located in the garrison town of Nagrota near the headquarters of army’s 16 corps in the occupied territory.

The occupation authorities have sealed the Jammu-Udhampur Highway while schools have also been shut in Nagrota area.

Meanwhile, a soldier of Indian Border Security Force was wounded in another attack in Ramgarh area of Samba district in Jammu region. Indian army has claimed of killing three attackers in the area. More details are awaited. As per media reports, an alert has been sounded in Jammu city.
