Srinagar, January 28, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, braving bone-chilling cold, thousands of devotees participated in processions organized in connection with the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations. The procession organized by Jammu and Kashmir Dawat-e-Minhaj-ul-Islam started from Eidgah Darbar-e-Bagdadiya Dharbagh Harwan passed through Theed Harwan, Chandpora, Arabal, Shalimar, Ishbar, Nishat, Syed Rehmaniya (RA) Bazar and culminated at Alamdar Park Brein Nishat in Srinagar.
The other organizations which participated in the celebration included Hayat–un-Nabi (SAW) Trust, Zahoor-ul-Islam, Dawat-e-Islamiya, Imam-e-Hussain(AS) Blood Bank, Al Mehdi (AS) Trust, Al Zehra Trust, Lashker-e-Medhi (AS) Barij Harwan, Idihara Auqaf Imamiya Aliabad Shalimar, Imamiya Trust Aliabad Shalimar and others organizations. Milad processions were also held in various areas of Srinagar including Barbarshah, Zadibal and Khayam.
Meanwhile, last night thousands of devotees participated in night prayers at Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar, housing the holy relic of the Prophet Muhammad. People on the occasion prayed for the early liberation of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian bondage.
