Islamabad: Foreign Minister Ms Hina Rabbani Khar appreciated the help and assistance being provided by UK to Pakistan for the forensic facilities, in establishing laboratories and helping to upgrade as well as enhance the criminal investigation and justice system.
The Minister was talking to the British Home Secretary Ms Theresa May here late this afternoon.
Ms Theresa May said that she had visited Pakistan twice in the last two years and believes that UK-Pakistan partnership is unique and has been successful in strengthening the bilateral ties best described as mutually constructive relations.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan also briefed the British Home Secretary about the efforts being made by Pakistan for counter terrorism and anti narcotic drive.
Both the Ministers also reviewed the progress being made within the framework of Enhanced Strategic Dialogue particularly in the field of security. They further expressed satisfaction over the ongoing cooperation for capacity building of the Pakistani Law Enforcement Agencies.
The meeting was attended by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in UK and other concerned senior officials from both the sides.
