TeH activists conduct poll boycott campaign in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 23, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the activists of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) visited different area of Srinagar and conducted campaign for boycott of forthcoming Indian Parliamentary by-elections in the territory.

The TeH spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that the party activists visited Boatmen Colony, Bemina, Tengpora Bypass and Nowgam areas and circulated anti-election material to the people and asked them to stay away from the election drama.

“Our youth are not sacrificing their precious lives for the election dramas, but for the freedom of our people. So it is our moral responsibility to stay away from such activities which are against the mission of martyrs,” the spokesman quoted the TeH activists as saying while interacting with people.

It is worth mentioning here that the farcical Indian Parliamentary by-elections will be held in Srinagar and Islamabad constituencies on 9th and 12th April, 2017.

On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R leaders, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Wajahat Bashir Qureshi, Haroon Kashmiri, Aijaz Ahmad Mir, Husni Mubarak, Javed Ahmad Saznawaz, Mohammad Saju, Riyaz Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad and Suhail Ahmad at a party meeting in Srinagar urged people to completely boycott the sham polls.
