Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed said that following the directives of Supreme Court a high level meeting was called for shifting of oil tankers used to park in Shireen Jinnah Colony in which it was decided that the fleet of oil tankers under the arrangements of PSO would start parking their oil tankers in ZOT on temporary basis.

He said the construction work of oil tankers parking terminal was underway speedily in which gradual parking of tankers was being started. He said after including 50 acres land the land of Zulfiqarabad Oil Terminal would consist of 200 acres and this would be the biggest oil tankers parking terminal of Pakistan. Administrator Karachi suggested forming a committee headed by Commissioner Karachi to provide facilities to tanker owners on 50 acres land. Administrator Karachi said that the construction work of terminal would be completed by the end of next month after which 2375 oil tankers will be parked at this terminal along with other facilities.
