Supreme Court Hears Constitution Petitions No. 1116 of 2011

Islamabad: A three member bench headed by the Honourable Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, Chief Justice of Pakistan and comprising other two members namely Honourable Mr. Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Honourable Mr.Justice Tariq Parvez heard the Constitution Petition No. 1116 of 2011 (Muhammad Aslam Chaudhary Vs. CPO Rawalpindi etc.).

Mr. Rashid A. Rizvi, ASC with petitioner appeared. Maulvi Anwar-ul-Haq Attorney General of Pakistan and Mr. Dil Muhammad Alizai, DAG appeared on court notice while Mr. Amjad Iqbal Qureshi, ASC appeared for respondent 7-8.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties, notices were directed to be issued to the respondents enabling them to file their parawise comments, if they so desire, within a period of two weeks.

Meanwhile, learned Special Judge, Anti Terrorism Court, seized of the matter of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan’s murder, shall submit Photostat copies of the proceedings along with order sheets and progress so far made in the case. The case was ordered to be re-listed after two weeks.
