Suppressive tactics won’t deter Kashmiris’ resolve: HCBA

Srinagar, March 14, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has strongly condemned the arrest and house detention of Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and others prevent them from participating in a sit-in-cum-seminar in Srinagar.

HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “By using these undemocratic and brutal methods to suppress the ongoing freedom struggle, India and its puppets in Kashmir will not achieve anything. They should understand that Kashmir issue is still on the agenda of UN Security Council.”

Meanwhile, HCBA expressed condolence over the death of the mother of Muslim League General Secretary Muhammad Rafiq Ganai and condemned the authorities for not releasing him to attend her last rituals. Muhammad Rafiq Ganaie is detained at Kotbhalwal jail in Jammu.
