Islamabad: On the instructions of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Ministry of Petroleum has immediately restored gas supply to all fertilizer plants of the country so that they could produce fertilizer to their maximum capacity.
It was decided in a meeting presided over by Dr Asim Hussain, Federal Minister for Petroleum, which was also attended by the representatives of the fertilizer plants and senior officials of the relevant ministries.
It was decided to ensure availability of Urea to the growers in sufficient quantity which was important to increase the yield of wheat crop to meet the target. The meeting was apprised that the import of Urea will start coming to Pakistan during the third week of November and the process of import will complete by the middle of next of month.
It was also decided that the availability of fertilizers will be ensured at competitive prices throughout the country.
