Strike referendum in favor of dissolution of VDCs

Srinagar, December 27, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has termed yesterday’s unprecedented strike as a referendum in favour of dissolution of Indian Army backed-terrorist militia, village defence committees.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, criticized criminal silence of puppet Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed over the brutalities of VDC members and said that he would continue to raise public awareness against the killer force. The veteran leader called for an impartial investigation into all incidents of murder, rape and robbery carried out by the members of village defence committees. He said the people of Doda are being particularly targeted for raising powerful voice against the militia.

Indian police registered a fake case of attempt to murder against Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Muhammad Yasin Malik and other party leaders under Section 307 of Rambir Penal Code. The leaders, detained at Kothi Bagh Police Station, were brought to a local court in Srinagar, today, and would be sent to Central Jail, Srinagar.

The Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi in a statement in Srinagar denounced the so-called cultural programme being organized by RSS-backed people in Gulmarg. She said that the event was a ploy to divert youth’s attention from Kashmir’s freedom movement.

A delegation of Hurriyet leaders comprising Yasmeen Raja, Farooq Ahmad Tauheedi and Muhammad Ramzan Khan during their visit to the family of the martyr, Umais Ahmad Sheikh, in Pulwama pledged to continue his mission till its logical conclusion.
