Rawalpindi, October 17, 2012 (PPI-OT): Security and safety of Pakistan’s nuclear assets has always been, and shall remain a major objective of Pakistan’s nuclear policy. This was stated by Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Ashfaque Arain, Director General Air Force Strategic Command (AFSC), while addressing the passing out parade of a batch of 500 Security Soldiers of the Strategic Plans Division. The batch has successfully completed specialist training at the Baloch Regimental Centre at Abbotabad.
Addressing the Parade, AVM Ashfaque expressed his deep satisfaction on the quality of training imparted, high level of standard achieved, and motivation level of the trainees. He emphasized that the soldiers have been entrusted with the sacred responsibility of securing the National Strategic Assets. He specially appreciated the faculty members for their professional acumen, dedication and devotion towards training.
The Chief Guest highlighted the enormous contribution of HQ Security Division (SPD) towards the security of strategic installations of the country in a short span of time. It is pertinent to note that SPD has consistently undertaken measures towards capacity building and ensuring fool proof security of strategic assets.
