Stranded passengers in Jammu receive no help from admin

Jammu, April 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the continuous closure of only surface link connecting Jammu and Kashmir with rest of the world has left hundreds of stranded passengers in utter frustration with no help coming from the administration. Hundreds of Valley-bound passengers, mostly labourers, students and some elderly are stranded at the Jammu bus stand for the past four days and are demanding opening of Mughal Road as an alternative route, besides seeking airlifting to Kashmir.

They deplored that no official had yet come to see them. “Whatever we had, has been spent, and now we are out of money”, a passenger stranded at the General Bus Stand along with his family said, adding, “We have not been provided any help from the administration.” He demanded that the administration should at least provide them with food and shelter.
