Karachi, March 29 PPI: Experts have stressed the need of better training opportunities for journalists so that they could discharge their professional duties excellently.
They were speaking at a three-day training workshop at a local hotel, organized by Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) in collaboration with the Danish embassy and International Media Support.
Secretary General PPF Owais Aslam Ali said that PPF is not only working for securing the rights of journalists but also arranging professional training programs for them so that they could cater the changing demands of modern times. He said the workshop provided a select group of journalists belonging to different areas of Pakistan and they will train other journalists in their native districts for capacity building of local journalists. He thanked the participants and institutions that helped in organizing the training workshop.
However, the participants said that such workshops of PPF help in their capacity building and enable them to perform their duties in a better manner.
