Islamabad, December 02, 2015 (PPI-OT): Barrister Zafarullah Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) and Minister of State for Human Rights has said that steps are being taken for the promotion and protection of human rights.
He was addressing a seminar on “Helpline for Legal Advice on Human Rights Violations “.at Margalla Hotel, Islamabad on Wednesday.
Barrister Zafarullah said government has restored Ministry of Human Rights and this Ministry has established a “Helpline for Legal Advice on Human Rights Violations” for addressing the issues of human rights violations through legal advice.
The Minister said that it is every positive that today different measures are being taken for the protection of human rights, adding that today’s Pakistan is much better than yesterday’s Pakistan.
He said that it is positive to note that our women are working in different fields of life and measures are also being taken for children rights.
He said that we are facing issues but we will have to take practical steps for addressing these issues.
