Karachi, August 24, 2016 (PPI-OT):Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights Ms. Rehana Laghari has taken notice of violence on two minor children allegedly involved in theft of pigeons and directed Senior Superintendent of Police Larkana to submit detailed report of incident which took place in Nau Dero near Larkana the other day.
It may be mentioned here that according to media reports two minor children, 8 year old Khalid Meerani and 6 years Insaf Meerani were brutally tortured and left in scorching day light with tied hands on alleged involvement in theft of pigeons in Nua Dero.
In telephonic conversation with SSP Larkana on Wednesday, Ms. Rehana Laghari said that it was a grave violation of human rights that could not be tolerated and directed to ensure exemplary punishment to offender so that such incidents could be avoided in future. SSP Larkana told that the case of incident has been registered under Anti- Terrorism Act adding that culprit Muhammad Ali Ansari who was involved in the incident has also been arrested.
