Lahore, November 06, 2016 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today. Matters of mutual interest, country situation and other affairs came under discussion during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said conscious people have proved from their attitude that they will not allow anyone to play with the fate of the country for personal interests. He said that negative politics of allegations, chaos, anarchy and lies have been defeated by the politics of transparency, honesty and service.
He said that faces and designs of those indulging in the politics of sabotage have been exposed to the nation. He said that people foiled the conspiracy of stopping the speedy journey of development and prosperity of sit-in party and renounced the politics of chaos. Conscious people have foiled the negative politics of those indulging in harming national interests, he added.
Shehbaz Sharif said that there was fear of speedy development of the country and prosperity of the people behind the threats of lockdown of Islamabad in the real sense. Sit-in group is afraid that if ongoing public welfare and energy projects are completed then their politics of personal interests will be buried forever, he added.
The Chief Minister said that former rulers looted the country ruthlessly and filled their pockets instead of spending national resources on providing facilities to the people. Similarly, corruption, loot and plunder in the name of development schemes was rampant during dictatorial era. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, PML-N government has promoted the trend of transparency and high standard in the projects and set a new example by saving national resources of billions of rupees, which is unprecedented in the history of the country, he added.
He said that those unduly criticizing public welfare projects do not want progress of the people. Those who neglected the people during their rule are now perturbed over the projects of public welfare, he added. He said that service to the people is the pivot of politics of PML-N government. He said that time has come to remove the darkness of ignorance, unemployment and disappointment from the country.
The Chief Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a guarantee to progress and prosperity of the country and under this project, the destiny of the country will be changed with the completion of projects of billions of dollars throughout Pakistan. He said that under CPEC, investment of 36 billion dollars is being made only in energy projects and with the completion of energy projects, there will be light everywhere and darkness will be removed from the country and the nation facing loadshedding for the last several years will get comfort.
He said that with the completion of energy projects, not only surplus power will be available to the people but they will also get cheap electricity. Shehbaz Sharif said that trade, economic and social activities will enhance with the execution of infrastructure projects under CPEC. He said that Pakistan has changed today as compared to 2013 and under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, PML-N government has achieved glorious successes in every sector and the journey of progress and prosperity will be continued more speedily during the next one and a half year.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, speaking on the occasion said that the tremendous work of public service carried out by Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif is unprecedented and the present government has promoted a new culture by saving national resources of billions of rupees in development projects transparently. He said that international institutions are acknowledging improving situation of the country and Pakistan is moving towards the goal of development and prosperity. The negative politics of chaos and anarchy is poisonous for development of the country and the nation in these circumstances, he added.
