Sindh Minister for Environment warns to stop throwing poisonous factories garbage dump and unhygienic water into Phulali Canal which is health hazard

Karachi, May 30, 2016 (PPI-OT):Sindh Minister for Environment Dr. Sikandar Mandro warns to stop throwing poisonous factories garbage dump and unhygienic water into Phulali Canal which is health hazard and dangerous for human-beings, Animals as well as Crops, depending Phulali Canal drinking water crossing Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin, Matiari and other surrounding areas. Minister gave two weeks time period to make it clear that cases should be registered against violators and same may be send to Tribunal for further proceedings according to law.

Dr. Mandhro further said that he chaired four time meetings with WASA, HDA, Municipal Authorities of Hyderabad, SITE, Industries and Irrigation Department in this regard, adding all concerned representatives gave undertaking through Commissioner Hyderabad to resolve issue in specific period, but wastages of factories, houses and unhygienic water still being flown into Phulali Canal which is very health hazard for the inhabitants, Animals and Crops also.

Dr. Mandhro further said that lives of innocent peoples, animals as well as trees are very precious. Its prime duty of Environment Officers to ensure that free pollution society and implement pollution protection order (PPO) with letter and spirit and true sense.
