Sindh Governor for improving coordination among civic agencies

Karachi, April 28, 2014 (PPI-OT): Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has underlined the need for promoting coordination among civic departments in order to complete the development works and other social welfare projects in a well manner.

Speaking as a chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of a cleanliness campaign for Shahrah-e-Faisal at the Frere Hall, here on Sunday, he said that people will observe a pleasant change if their civic problems are also resolved swiftly besides the continuing efforts for improving law and order situation in the metropolis, according to a handout issued here. He called upon all civic agencies to resolve civic problems with mutual coordination.

The Governor said that work for the improvement and beautification of important roads of the city has been initiated in phases. He said that the condition of I.I. Chundrigar Road has been improved and now under a comprehensive plan security arrangements are also being strengthened.

Earlier, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, in his welcome speech, said that the city administration is taking along all departments in improving cleanliness conditions in the city. He said that under the ‘Sarsabz Karachi Pur-amn Karachi’ campaign about 300,000 saplings will be planted.

Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui and Deputy Commissioner South Mustafa Jamal Qazi also spoke. Metropolitan Commissioner Samiuddin Siddiqui, Deputy Commissioners, Administrators, Municipal Commissioners, relevant officials and notables of the city were present.
