Sindh Governor calls for shifting Hawkesbay truck stand

Karachi, March 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on Saturday called for taking steps to shift the Hawkesbay truck stand outside the city immediately.

He was talking to an 11-member delegation of the United Goods Transport at the Governor’s House here. The delegation was led by Ghulam Yasin Khan.

Ebad said that the land for the truck stand had been allocated along the Northern Bypass. He also directed the officials concerned that security system at the Northern Bypass be made effective, for which the latest cameras and communication network were essential.

He further directed that check posts should be established and patrolling ensured.

Ebad was of the view that all the stakeholders should realise their responsibilities with regard to the city so that infrastructure development could be carried out. He hoped that they would extend full cooperation to making the metropolis safe, beautiful and modern. The governor also directed the officials concerned to fulfil the promises that were made with the delegation of the United Goods Association.
