Karachi, August 19, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Sindh Senior Minister Information and Education Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that in the first round of talks between M.Q.M. and Moulana Fazul-ur-Rehman, MQM remained positive and second round would be held in Islamabad. He expressed hope that the matter of MQM resignations would be resolved amicably. He was talking to the media men after meeting American Counsel General Mr. Brian Heath here at his office on Wednesday.
Mr. Khuhro said that taking extreme step of resignations were not a solution of the problem as the dialogues are only the solution of every problem and added that taking extreme step makes democratic institutions weak. Lauded the efforts to continue the dialogues even after attack on MQM leader Rasheed Godil shows the maturity of the political parties.
He said that Karachi operation were started with the mutual understandings of political parties including MQM which will be continued without any discrimination till the complete eradication of terrorists as such government would not compromised on the peace of the city.
He said that attacks on political leaders were the conspiracy to disturb the peace of the city and few elements do not want to see the stable democratic process and added that such elements would not be succeeded. He said that the Sindh Government is ready to hold local government elections in the province and it is a responsibility of Election Commission of Pakistan to announce the election date.
Mr. Khuhro said that Federal Government assigned the task to Moulana Fazul-ur-Rehman to talk MQM and expressed hope that the matter of MQM designations would be resolved soon. He said that parliament is the best forum to raise the voice on people issues thus they need to come in the parliament. Earlier, American Consul General Mr. Brian Heath met with the Senior Minister Information Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at his office here on Wednesday and exchanged views on political atmosphere, law and order, peace, education and mutual interests.
