Sindh Chief Minister visits school in Lyari, assures Lyariites to solve their problems

Karachi, August 10, 2016 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced Rs50 million recurring grant for Kiran High school located in Lyari area. “This school has done a wonderful job by imparting quality education in the backward area of Lyari, therefore it deserves government grant.”

This he said while talking to administration of the school which he visited today. The school belongs to Sindh government and it has been adopted by an NGO working in education sector. He was accompanied by secretary Education Jam Mehtab Dahar, Secretary Education Mumtaz Shah, Principal secretary Naveed Kamran Baloch and others.

The chief minister was received by headmistress of the school and children at the gate of the school. The headmistress took around the chief minister around the school. He approved construction f four more rooms on the roof top of the school. Presently it is running from nursery to matric and after construction of the new four rooms it would be upgraded upto intermediate.

In nursery class, the chief minister expressed his satisfaction to the children confident and fluent in English. The children sang national songs for him and presented him flags. He visited computer and science lab. He sat with students on the floor of the class room and enjoyed their art and drawing work. The chief minister talking to media said that the officers working efficiently would remain in his team otherwise they would be out.

Replying to a question, Murad Shah said that the cleanliness of the city was an old issues, if the cleanliness work has been started it must be lauded. The civic problems would be solved shortly. In one an half years all the problems could not be solved but he was trying to solve them. When he was returning the resident of Lyari gathered on the road and requested the chief minister to solve their problems of water, sewerage and development of their infrastructure. The chief minister assured them that he would personally look after Lyari to solve its problems.
