Sindh Chief Minister takes notice

Karachi, December 07, 2017 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah taking prompt notice of the two boats capsized in the deep sea at Sakro directed Deputy Commissioner and SSP Thatto to rush to the spot and start rescue operation to save lives of the pilgrims of Dargah Meihen Pathai located in deep sea near Buharo, taluko Mirpur Sakro of Thatto district.

The chief minister directed Commissioner Hyderabad to personally monitor the rescue operation and declare emergency in all the near hospitals and send ambulances loaded with necessary facilities to the spot. “You [Commissioner Hyderabad] know it would be quite difficult to carry out rescue operation after sunset, therefore all resources and energies must be utilised for the operation before sunset,” he directed him.

It may be noted that the people of Malir district of Karachi sailing into two boats were going to the Dargah Meihen Pathai located in deep sea near Buharo, taluko Mirpur Sakro of Thatto district for pilgrimage. It may be noted that the speedy dusty winds in the open sea reportedly collided both the boats in which about 60 pilgrims were sailing to the Dargah and they capsized. The chief minister expressed profound grief over the loss of life and said he would not leave the affected families alone.
