London, March 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of International Chamber for Peace and Conciliation-Kashmir Concern (ICPC-KC), Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, and the Chairman of International Council for Human Rights-Kashmir Project (ICHR-KP), Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, attended a function organised by the Labour Party of south east region.

On the sidelines of the function, Professor Shawl and Barrister Tramboo interacted with the leader of the Labour Party and requested him to revisit the policy resolution of the Labour Party adopted in its Brighton conference in 1995.

This resolution had promised the Kashmiri Diaspora that the Labour government would play a proactive role in solving the long pending Kashmir Dispute, help Kashmiris secure their right of self-determination in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.

He was also reminded that up and down in the UK 1.2 million Kashmiris mostly support the Labour Party so it was essential that this matter of concern of all the Kashmiris was addressed.

Edward Miliband gave a patient hearing and asked to communicate the relevant details of the policy resolution.
