Karachi, May 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to take notice of the criminal activities of Zulfiqar Mirza and requested the courts not to grant the bail of this criminal.
Talking to media after the assembly session was adjourned on Wednesday the Minister said that the provincial government wanted to establish its writ and rule of law but the criminals and unlawful activities of Zulfiqar Mirza who is creating hurdles in implementing rule of law.
He said Mirza and his armed supporters not only attacked on police stations but also threatened the policemen by displaying illegal weapons. The Minister said this is not the unlawful act but also a challenge for the government to establish its writ.
However he said despite all these illegal activities Mirza was granted the bails and this act creating law and order situation. Sharjeel said that Mirza also using abusive language against the top leadership of the PPP including woman leader and unfortunately the TV channels telecasting these abusive language while Pemra did not take any action despite repeated requests by the Sindh government.
The Minister said government is being faced difficulties in establishing its writ due to openly moving the person who violating all norms and law of the land but also creating wrong impression about the judicial system. Sharjeel Memon said that police never sent to arrest Mirza but he was deployed just for his protection.
