Lahore, August 30, 2016 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting, here today, to review law and order situation in the province. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that maintenance of law and order and protection of life and property of people is the top priority of the government and police and law enforcement agencies should spare no effort for this purpose and perform their duties with commitment and dedication.
He said that supremacy of law should be ensured at any cost and an effective strategy should be adopted to curb crimes especially heinous crime. He said that senior police officers should hold meetings regularly to review law and order and keep the doors of their offices open for provision of justice to the people.
He said that indiscriminate action should be taken against criminal elements and all possible measure should be adopted for protection of life and property of citizens. Special Assistant Rana Maqbool Ahmad, Chief Secretary, Secretary Home and concerned officers attended the meeting while Inspector General Police participated through video link.
