Srinagar, June 03, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Dar and Muslim Political League Chairman Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi along with delegations today visited the residences of martyrs Moulvi Aasif Ahamd and Naseer Ahmad Mir War in Sopore.
Moulvi Aasif Ahamd, a resident of Warapora and Naseer Ahmad Mir War, a resident of Brath Kalam, Sopore, were martyred by the Indian troops during a gun-battle in Dangar Pora area of Sopore. Speaking on the occasion, Shabbir Dar and Farooq Tawheedi paid glowing tributes to the martyrs and expressed their condolences with their bereaved families. The leaders also expressed condolences with Moulvi Mohammad Salim War on the death of his mother.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League appealed to the people to celebrate Eid with austerity keeping in view the suffering of Muslims particularly in Kashmir and Palestine. A JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said Eid is a day of thanks giving to Almighty Allah for his blessings and mercy upon us. He asked people to reach out to the needy and poor sections of society and help them.
The JKML spokesman urged scholars and imams to remember the families of martyrs and prisoners languishing in different jails on this gracious occasion. Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt in a statement also appealed to the people of occupied Kashmir to celebrate Eid with austerity. “We must not forget to include the needy and deserving people in our celebrations,” he said asked people to take care of the families of martyrs.
