Jammu, June 01, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has said that settlement of the disputes of Kashmir and Palestine is imperative for durable peace and stability in the world.
APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, addressing a gathering at Thanamandi in Rajouri district said the world cannot ignore these two flashpoints for long as they pose a grave threat to the global peace and stability. He deplored that the world community has adopted a criminal silence as the people of Kashmir and Palestine continue to suffer at the hands of forces of oppression and suppression.
The JKPM chairman urged the Prime Minister of India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said the people of Kashmir are fighting for their inalienable right to self-determination and there is no military solution to the Kashmir dispute.
On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, in a statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to three Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, yesterday. He said the Kashmiri youth are leaving their homes, relatives and shining careers and offering supreme sacrifices of their lives. He further said India is suffering from the arrogance of power and has tried its best to muzzle Kashmiris’ voice but has utterly failed.
