Sense of responsibility among students to assist in ensuring safe road environment

Islamabad: Extending the liaison campaign of Islamabad Traffic Police with academic institutions, Education Team of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) arranged two-day Road Safety workshop at Islamabad Model College for Boys G/10-4 and delivered lecture among the students about road safety and traffic rules.

The purpose of arranging this workshop is also to forge close links with students with a view to promote friendly policing culture. Over 250 students participated in this road safety workshop on first day.

Different universities, colleges, schools and other private institutions were already given awareness about the traffic rules and road safety through various lectures there.

The ITP Education team during visit to Islamabad Model College For Boys G/10-4 informed students about road safety measures and working of police department. The team members said the basic purpose of this lecture is to create awareness about rules and regulations and promote a sense of responsibility among students.

In-charge ITP’s Education Wing inspector Mehfooz Kiani said that SP (Traffic) Mir Vais Naiz has also stressed to deliver special lectures among students so that they can play their role in ensuring safe road environment in the city. SP Mir Vais Naiz said that efforts of ITP and hard work of its personnel have not only helped to establish a disciplined traffic system in the capital but also reduced ratio of accidents.

Vice-Principal Muhammad Aslam appreciated the efforts of ITP towards academic institutes and thanked SP Mir Vais Naiz for arranging such an informative workshop at his institution.
