Islamabad, April 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): A group of 19 senior level diplomats of 17 countries from around the world visited the Federal Public Service Commission today to familiarize themselves with the recruitment procedures of the Government of Pakistan.
They were conducted by the D.G. F.S.A, Murad Ali. The group is currently attending a seven week advanced diplomatic course at Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad. The FSA scheduled the visit of the course participants to FPSC Headquarters.
The delegation called on the Chairman FPSC Malik Asif Hayat, Secretary FPSC, Naveed Salimi welcomed the delegation and a briefing was given by the Chairman FPSC who also responded to their queries. Member FPSC, Abdul Wajid Rana spoke about the mandate and role of the FPSC to the delegation.
While giving presentation to the participants the Chairman said that the Commission is meant to guarantee merit base, qualified impartial civil service. It enjoys the trust of the people in terms of its credibility and neutrality in selecting candidates on merit.
The participants were briefed about different aspects of the recruitment policy, modes of recruitments and functions of the Commission. The briefing was followed by question answer session led by Chairman FPSC. At the end of the meeting, the participants thanked the Chairman FPSC and souvenirs were exchanged.
