Sedition charges against Kashmiri students flayed

Srinagar, March 07, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leaders, Javed Ahmad Mir and Yasmeen Raja have condemned the booking of Kashmiri students under sedition charged by the Meerut university administration.

Javed Ahmad Mir and Yasmeen Raja in their separate statement issued in Srinagar said that it was the policy of Congress government to make the Kashmiri people as scapegoat. They said that in past it was witnessed how Congress used the innocent Afzal Guru’s card for their political interests.

The APHC leaders said that the discriminatory action against the students was unwarranted and against the spirit of sports. They said that even the puppets of Indian government were too the supportive of Pakistan cricket team and cheers for the Pak team whenever there was any such match between India and Pakistan, then why not any such sedition case against those.

Welcoming the Pakistan’s stand over the issue, they said that it was an appreciable stand by Pakistan to offer the Kashmiri students admission at their University. They said on the basis of humanitarian grounds Pakistan announced the admission for Kashmir Student.

Meanwhile Javaid Ahmad Mir expressed sympathies with the United Jihad Council Chief Mohtarma, Syed Salahuddin and said the loss of his brother and his mother-in-law is a great loss for the whole Kashmiris.
