Injury rules out Imam from Hamilton ODI

Hamilton, January 16, 2018 (PPI-OT):“Imam Ul-Haq reported having excessive swelling and stiffness of his left index finger late last night. It did not resolve after being treated. This morning he still present with some stiffness and discomfort which prevented him from being able to fully grip his bat. He has been advised to rest for it to settle without being further aggravated and should make a speedy recovery in the next day or two”, said Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, Vib Singh.

Health Advisory: Shoaib Malik update

Hamilton, January 16, 2018 (PPI-OT):“While trying to take a run Shoaib Malik was hit on his head with a wayward throw. Shoaib was assessed on field by match doctor and myself. He did not have any symptoms of a concussion and was able to carry on playing. After getting out he was reassessed and was showing delayed concussion signs. He is doing well and is resting”, said Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, Vib Singh. As advised by match doctor and Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, he will not be taking any further part in this match.

Fakhar ruled out of second ODI

Nelson, January 09, 2018 (PPI-OT):”During the first ODI in Wellington Fakhar Zaman sustained a contusion to his right thigh while fielding. He was assessed after the match and was diagnosed as having a contusion of the right thigh. He has been receiving treatment and was reassessed early in the morning. However he is not 100% match fit and will not be playing in the second ODI in Nelson”, said Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, Vib Singh.

Pakistan U-19 Team announced for ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2018

Lahore, December 05, 2017 (PPI-OT):The Junior Selection Committee headed by Basit Ali has selected 15-member Pakistan U19 team for ICC U19 CRICKET WORLD CUP 2018 to be played in New Zealand. The U-19 team will feature in a three-match ODI series against Australia on December 27, 29 and 31, 2017 and later will travel to New Zealand to play two ODI matches on January 3 and January 5, 2018, respectively.

Later, the team will feature in the ICC U-19 World Cup commencing from January 13, 2018 in New Zealand. The training camp for the U-19 team will be setup at National Cricket Academy, Lahore from December 7 to December 20, 2017 and the team will depart for Australia on December 21, 2017.
