Karachi, August 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):Chairman Sarim Burney Trust Mr. Sarim Burney called on to Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights, Ms. Rehana Leghari at her office on Thursday and discussed issues related to human rights violation. Rehana Laghari appreciated the services of Sarim Trust and assured her full support in providing assistance to needy person particularly women and children. She underlined the need to create awareness in society regarding rights of children, women and minority community.
She said that human rights violation committed on tiny issues in our society terming it matter of honour. She also suggested that trust should establish its shelter homes in Thatta and Sajawal to provide help to children, women of far flung area in time of special need.
Earlier, Sarim Burney briefed her regarding the services of his trust. Mr. Burney said that he dealt with number of human rights violation cases daily. Referring to a recent case , he told that acid was thrown on Sana, a mother four year girl child for reasons not known to her in Ajmer Nagri police station limits fifteen days back adding that girl was seriously injured but hospital authority denied her admission and just provided her first aid and medicine.
Mr. Sarim added that though police have arrested the nominated person. However, case has been transferred to Nazimabad Police Station from Ajmer Nagri.” influentials are forcing girl and her family to withdraw the case,” Mr. Burney added. Ms. Rehana Leghari assured that Sindh Govt. would provide every possible assistance to girl and she herself would meet girl on Friday (today).
