Rule of law be ensured in all respects, Inspector General, National Highway and Motorway Police

Islamabad, August 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema while addressing the senior operational officers at NH and MP Headquarters, Islamabad has said that equal application of law be ensured on Highways and Motorways and strict action be taken against those vehicles and drivers who violate the law.

He directed that accidents be stopped in all respects and ensure to provide safe roads to the road users. He also directed the senior officers to personally visit the families of Shuhda’s on the eve of Eid festivals and gifts be presented from the department. He said that senior officers should give extra care to the families of NH and MP Shuhda’s.

He ordered that all DIG’s and SSP’s should visit their beats and sectors every month. He also announced a committee in the headship of DIG N-5 North Mr. Zubair Hashmi to analyze the cases of promotion and annual rewards of officers.

The committee shall present its report to the Inspector General as early as possible. He urged to make NH and MP as Role Model Institution. On this occasion ‘Dua’ was offered for Shaheed DIG Fayyaz Ahmad Sumbal, Shaheed SSP Hilal Khan and shuhada of Quetta.
