Rs. 7242 million for Cambridge/ Comprehensive Schools on 25 Districts: Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar

Karachi, August 11, 2016 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Education Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that children are an asset to the nation. Their proper education and training may play a vital role in the progress of the nation and the teachers are supposed to perform their duties honestly. This he said while talking to mediamen during a surprise visit to Church mission School near Civil Hospital Karachi. Secretary Education Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and Special Secretary Dr. Mansoor Rizvi were also with the Minister Education. During his visit the Minister for Education expressed his displeasure over non-cleanliness in the school premises.

Provincial Minister for Education, while presiding over a meeting in his office with Project Director Project Management Implementation on Establishment of Cambridge and Comprehensive Schools in 25 districts with the cost of Rs. 7242 million has directed the officer concerned to speed up on the project and complete it. Within stipulated time because the completion of the project the children of the province would get better facilities of education.

Meanwhile a delegation of private schools association, led by Chairman Khalid Shah, had a meeting with the Minister for Education in his office on Thursday and informed about their grievances and issues. The Education Minister assured them that the Education Department was committed to resolve their problems and both together could eradicate illiteracy in the society. He suggested them to give certain concessions to the needy students in their institutions.
