Role sought in combating against terrorism, extremism

Lahore: The newly inducted ASsP should play exemplary role in combating against terrorism, extremism, violent crime in the province as they were entering in to a very noble, sacred and important profession of the country.

This was stated by inspector General of Police, Punjab Muhammad Habib-ur-Rahman while addressing to 13 ASsP of 37th common who met him today at Central Police Office, Lahore.

The IGP maintained that he was fully aware of the importance of police force and he expects the ASsP that, apart from enhancing their professional skills they should follow the moral values as the policing amounts to an Ibadat and one can achieve the happiness of Almighty Allah and its creature by discharging these honestly. He said that the glorious traditions of police would be further advanced and complete sense of security be provided to the masses by coming up-to the expectations of government and people.

These ASsP included Mr. Shabbir Ahmed Sethar (Shikarpur Sindh), Ms. Riffat Haider Bokhari (Lahore), Mr. Tariq Illahi Mastoi (Naseerabad), Mr. Mohammad Iqbal (Buner KPK), Mr. Haroon Rashid Khan(Peshawar), Mr. Adil Memon (Hyderabad), Mr. Muhammad Rizwan Ahmed Khan (Karachi), Mr. Muhammad Jawad Tariq (Sibi), Mr. Asif Ahmed Bughio (Jamshoro), Mr. Muhammad Arif Aslam (Karachi), Malik Jameel Zaffar (Muzaffarabad), Capt. Bilal Iftikhar (Sanghar) and Mr. Irfan Tariq (Islamabad).
