Lahore, June 07, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows191000 cusecs and Outflows 165000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 68900 cusecs and Outflows 68900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 65400 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 72100 cusecs and Outflows 41700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 221600 cusecs and Outflows 213800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 229500 cusecs and Outflows 210000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows172700 cusecs and Outflows 147000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows18600 cusecs and Outflows 3300 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 136800 cusecs and Outflows 112300 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 92900 cusecs and Outflows 43300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 34000 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1462.42 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.910 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1172.60 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.944 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 647.90 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.236 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
