Lahore, June 05, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows155700 cusecs and Outflows 165000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 63800 cusecs and Outflows 63800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 56400 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 58700 cusecs and Outflows 28800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 221700 cusecs and Outflows 214200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 215500 cusecs and Outflows 192000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows172700 cusecs and Outflows 147000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows18400 cusecs and Outflows 3100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 121400 cusecs and Outflows 100700 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 88100 cusecs and Outflows 40300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 32200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1460.50 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.831 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1168.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.764 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.30 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.255 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
