Lahore, March 30, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 28000 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 20700 cusecs and Outflows 20700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 46600 cusecs and Outflows 36200 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 21200 cusecs and Outflows 12800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 44700 cusecs and Outflows 42700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 35200 cusecs and Outflows 38000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 30400 cusecs and Outflows 30400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 2000 cusecs and Outflows 2000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 20500 cusecs and Outflows 18100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 17400 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 2500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1385.58 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.064 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1073.55 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.233 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 641 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.055 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
