Lahore, March 29, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 24400 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 17300 cusecs and Outflows 17300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 45100 cusecs and Outflows 36200 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 18100 cusecs and Outflows 9700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 34500 cusecs and Outflows 32500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 35900 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 30400 cusecs and Outflows 30400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 2400 cusecs and Outflows 2400 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 22200 cusecs and Outflows 19900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 17700 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 2500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1385.18 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.059 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1071.50 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.213 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 641.70 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.068 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
