Lahore, March 28, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 23900 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 14400 cusecs and Outflows 14400 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 36700 cusecs and Outflows 32400 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 14900 cusecs and Outflows 6500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 48800 cusecs and Outflows 46800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 35400 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 24600 cusecs and Outflows 24600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 2000 cusecs and Outflows 2000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 22200 cusecs and Outflows 19900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 17800 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 3000 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1385.40 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.062 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1069.65 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.195 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.073 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
