Lahore, March 24, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 36100 cusecs and Outflows 28000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 31000 cusecs and Outflows 31000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 26900 cusecs and Outflows 26500 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 12100 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 31200 cusecs and Outflows 29200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 24900 cusecs and Outflows 21700 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 18800 cusecs and Outflows 18800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 4000 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 22300 cusecs and Outflows 19900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 16400 cusecs and Outflows 3300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 2500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1381.83 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.021 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1047.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.080 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
