Lahore, March 21, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 16400 cusecs and Outflows 15600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5000 cusecs and Outflows 5000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 17400 cusecs and Outflows 18000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 11700 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 17600 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 23000 cusecs and Outflows 19800 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 22000 cusecs and Outflows 21000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 3000 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 26400 cusecs and Outflows 24000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 22200 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4100 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.006 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1047 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.083 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
