Lahore, March 20, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17000 cusecs and Outflows 15200 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 4300 cusecs and Outflows 4300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 17000 cusecs and Outflows 17700 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 11400 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 23700 cusecs and Outflows 20700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 23100 cusecs and Outflows 19900 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 19700 cusecs and Outflows 18900 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 3100 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 27800 cusecs and Outflows 25400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 22400 cusecs and Outflows 3100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4100 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.006 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1047.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.084 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
