Lahore, March 16, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17400 cusecs and Outflows 16600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5800 cusecs and Outflows 5800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15200 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 11700 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 27100 cusecs and Outflows 23500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 26000 cusecs and Outflows 22800 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 31700 cusecs and Outflows 30300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 3700 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 33000 cusecs and Outflows 27700 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 28500 cusecs and Outflows 4200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 5200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.006 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1051.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.097 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
