Lahore, March 15, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 19000 cusecs and Outflows 18200 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5800 cusecs and Outflows 5800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 5900 cusecs and Outflows 35200 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 13600 cusecs and Outflows 6100 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 20100 cusecs and Outflows 16100 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 20700 cusecs and Outflows 17500 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 30700 cusecs and Outflows 29300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 4500 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 34800 cusecs and Outflows 29500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 30900 cusecs and Outflows 5000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 5200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.006 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1056.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.115 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
