Lahore, March 13, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17400 cusecs and Outflows 16600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5300 cusecs and Outflows 5300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 31100 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 18800 cusecs and Outflows 11900 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 33900 cusecs and Outflows 29900 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 27200 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 33200 cusecs and Outflows 31700 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 5100 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 38400 cusecs and Outflows 33100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 32900 cusecs and Outflows 5400 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.006 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1060.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.134 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.20 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
