Lahore, March 11, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 12400 cusecs and Outflows 28000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 8500 cusecs and Outflows 8500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 25200 cusecs and Outflows 22000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 21700 cusecs and Outflows 14800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 50900 cusecs and Outflows 46300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 36200 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 41300 cusecs and Outflows 39500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 5100 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 41800 cusecs and Outflows 36500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 35000 cusecs and Outflows 7200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1380.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.006 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1049.30 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.099 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 639.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.032 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
