Lahore, November 18, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 24100 cusecs and Outflows 43000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 8700 cusecs and Outflows 8700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 6700 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8500 cusecs and Outflows 3000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 60200 cusecs and Outflows 54200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 55500 cusecs and Outflows 46000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 48800 cusecs and Outflows 42500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 7000 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 37200 cusecs and Outflows 30900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 28400 cusecs and Outflows 6400 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4900 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1461.89 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.888 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1155.85 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.217 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 645.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.154 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
